Nike has released new uniforms for the Oregon Ducks a couple times in the last few years and they’re always a great mixture of function and beauty with gorgeous materials and incredible technologies. For this year’s trip to the Rose Bowl Nike has graced the Ducks with new uniforms that appear to change color, feature less of that bulky padding, breathe better, and have a sheen that has never been used on sports uniforms before. And of course, it all has the beautiful design we have come to expect from Nike.

I definitely thought this was a new product for Sony intended to look vintage-modern—sleek, clean, beautiful, with some vintage styling. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I mean, I was looking for a price tag to see if I could snatch one of these guys. That’s when I discovered the TR-1825 radio was actually made in 1970. It’s amazing that something can look this good and relevant today.

I am absolutely loving the fake!taxidermy trend. These geometric, almost mid-80s CGI are probably my favorites I’ve seen yet.

I never really got on the mustache trend that took the internet by storm this year. I was instead interested in the significantly less popular burger trend. Of course, I’m in love with this Kickstarter burger wrapping paper project by Gift Couture.

Recognize the type? Yes, these are Arne Jacobsen letters, made for the Aarhus City Hall, on mugs. That’s awesome.

…And I want an M cup, please. #whosbuyingmeachristmaspresent

Chalk it up under Things That Should Be Designed But We Never Give It Much Thought: fishbowls.

Well, Aruliden did think about that, and then created this gorgeous handblown fishbowl. I dig it.

Aruliden fishbowl, $140

There are some gadgets and gizmos that come around that make you wonder why no one had ever thought to do that before. To me, this Split Decision Pie Pan is one of those things. I grew up on pie more than all other baked goods combined, and I know how divided people can be on which pie they’d like to enjoy. This would end some of the decision making, at least!

(Mom, if by some odd chance you’re reading this…I’d like one for Christmas!)

I have FOUND MY RUG! I’m excited, can’t you tell? There are many reasons why I really want one of these Linus Dean rugs in my home.

  1. Linus Dean used to be a designer. It’s always good to have a designer’s eye in things.
  2. That being said, these are some cool designs!
  3. This is a good material, too. There are a lot of rugs I’ve seen that just like they are made of the most godawful material.
  4. You can pick your own size. This has been a problem for me because I can’t find what I want. They’re too small or too large. There is no in-between size.
  5. I can pick what color I want! I know, I know, there will be a big charge for this, but getting a bright blue rug is HARD. Fortunately, one of his rugs already has my color in it, so I know he constantly has it in stock!
It will be pricey, that’s for sure, but I’m quite excited about this find.
