Frank Gehry has created this poster for the Grammy Awards. Yes. That Frank Gehry. The Architect. Yes, there’s no designer Frank Gehry, you were not mistaken.
And yes, those are models of Gehry’s buildings in the background. What do they have to do with the Grammy’s? I have no idea. No one really seems to know. Heck, even Gehry’s own words don’t even open a glimpse into what he was thinking when he made a poster featuring architecture for a music awards show.
I have been fortunate to have worked with and become friends with some of the top musicians in classical music…they are my inspiration and my heroes. I am pleased to work with the Grammy’s to help celebrate all of these talented people.
Packaging Monday: Del Monte Individually Wrapped Bananas
Do not—under any circumstances—think I posted this like every other Monday feature. Please do not think this is good packaging. It’s not. There is no reason to wrap bananas individually. Trust me, the skin of a banana can put up with a lot. I carry a lot of things in my big purses and never once has even an open pen gouged through the incredibly thick skin of a banana.
Yikes.
(One argument of “keeping fruit flies away” is invalid. You can put an entire bunch of bananas in one big bag and take one out for on-the-go snacking…and I doubt you’ll have fruit flies swarming around you on your commute. Just saying.)
I’m not gonna even try to summarize this. You just need to go see it at the source.
I…what…
This makes me speechless. This has to be fake but yet, there’s so much effort put into it that it can’t be fake. I…what…
Prepare for web induced blindness. Once you see this web page, you can’t unsee.
I blame my scalded eyeballs on People Design

Okay, so it’s not design related, but Tom Selleck Waterfall Sandwich is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
This is…by far…the weirdest portfolio site I’ve ever encountered. Even if you don’t skim through the portfolio, the “Space - Forest - Ocean” part is worth a look. You’ll be scratching your head and probably saying “Double-Ewe-Tee-Eff?” out loud, but it’s definitely unique!

I’ve seen this before but it’s always worth bringing up again. I do not feel that the design of the Malboro box was an accident after seeing this.
Thanks to my friend Ashe for bringing this up again.
