Yeah, I’m an Apple fan. I like the products, I like their design, I like their innovation. Recently I’ve been reading about how they treat their employees, and it made me love them a little bit more. Then I read this article how they’ve been treating both Japanese Apple employees and the Japanese public alike in the wake of Friday’s devastating 9.0 earthquake. This is one of the most wonderful things I’ve read in a long time. They treat employees like human beings and yes, they do look out for the common man. The store mentioned in this article—a letter written by an Apple Store employee in Tokyo—stayed open after the earthquake, letting people charge devices so they could reach family members. They also taught people how to use their devices so they could get in contact with the outside world. Apple is paying for hotel stays. This gives me a lot more respect for the computer giant. Way to go, Apple.
